Every afternoon Noeli, a young Dominican girl, goes to the beaches at Las Terrenas with her boyfriend to look for ways to make a living at the expense of one of the many tourists that wander the beach. As people parade through her life, Noeli has a steady client, a mature French woman who, as time goes by, has found an ideal refuge on the island to spend her last years. When Noeli's boyfriend feigns to be her brother, he outlines a plan in which Noeli travels to Paris with the old lady and sends him money every month. For Noeli, the relationship with the old lady is one of convenience, but the feelings become more intense as the departure date closes in.

In the latest film by legendary French Director Ovidie, a young Parisian woman named Clair is in a 10-year relationship that has become more of a routine. Her routine gets interrupted when she witnesses an American woman, Jolene, getting mugged. Offering to help the American, Claire helps her get situated in a hotel. As a thank you, Jolene gives Claire a kiss; a kiss which becomes burned into Claire s mind. She can t shake the feelings Jolene s kiss sparked, and Claire wants to explore them further. Jolene and her friends take a trip to the countryside with Claire, where the thought of infidelity is far from everyone s mind. However, it is not long before new and exhilarating sensual experiences overtake this new group of friends. Ovidie proves again that she is the master of French erotica, and that no one does it better.

Expecting couple Leah (Gaby Hoffmann) and June (Ingrid Jungermann) move into a Brooklyn brownstone apartment with their toddler daughter Lyle. Despite the strange baby-obsessed landlady downstairs and the group of female models who live above them, the two are happy with their new apartment until a bizarre accident leads to the death of Lyle. Months later, Leah is still grief-stricken, trying to make sense of Lyle's death, her landlady's odd behaviors, and her attraction to one of the models upstairs. As Leah prepares for her home birth, she begins to suspect the neighbors are involved in a satanic pact and fears for her unborn baby.

As most of the world moves forward toward gay equality, Russia is seemingly heading backward. Anti-gay sentiment and legislation are spreading rapidly throughout the country. In 2013, the Russian parliament passed a ban on so-called "gay propaganda" that effectively makes nearly any public discussion of gay equality a crime. The city of Moscow has outlawed Gay Pride parades for the next 100 years. Adoption of Russian children is forbidden to citizens of any foreign country that permits gay marriage. The Kremlin has chosen the LGBT community as its scapegoat in a populist campaign against supposedly decadent "Western" values, and there are ominous signs of much worse to come. Violent attacks against Russian gays or suspected gays are more and more common. Videos of young LGBT people being taunted and tortured have been widely distributed on the Internet. Those are the stories that get the headlines, but there is much more to the Russian LGBT men and woman I have met. It is my hope that this documentary will educate viewers to their reality.
